Out Of Band (OOB) Access

We offer several types of OOBM access to customers. Depending on your data center and service type will depend on how you are able to access OOBM as well as the tools available. Please use this section to familiarize yourself with the options and how to use them.

OOBM tools are not designed for the daily administration of your server! They are provided over throttled network connections.

Virtual Servers

All virtual servers come with VNC and a HTML5 version of VNC. These are accessible from the VPS control panel: https://vps.nodespace.net.

Dedicated Servers/Bare Metal Servers

NodeSpace VPN Access May Be Required If you don't already have NodeSpace VPN access, you may need to request it for OOBM access. As most OOBM tools don't get regularly updated like normal software, they are attack vectors that could compromise the security of your system. Therefore, OOBM access is restricted from the global internet unless needed.
